There is no school for 8th grade students on Wednesday, May 21st.  Students will have the opportunity to purchase tickets to Elitch Gardens for this day.   Although this is not a school sponsored event,  we do feel that it is good opportunity for the 8th graders to have some fun.  Transportation to and from Elitch Gardens is the responsibility of the student.  Tickets will go on sale in May at the discounted rate of $22.00 per ticket.  There is no limit to the number of tickets that each student may purchase, but please keep in mind that tickets are good only for Wednesday, May 21st.

PTSO - Safeway Cards
Safeway has recently come out with a cash and credit price at their gas pumps.  Another advantage for using our reloadable cards is you always get the cash price.  It's a savings, this week, of 10 cents per gallon.  It's an easy way for everyone to save money and support our schools!

Profits from these cards just funded 95% of the grant applications we received!  The more money we raise from these cards will allow us to increase the dollar amount of our grants and to support our teachers more.

Many thanks for your help,
Mary Smith

PTSO Thanks You
The EMS PTSO is pleased to announce the purchase of 5 Samsung Chrome Books from the "Tape for Technology" fund raiser last April. A special thank you to Roger Berst, Sandy Marumoto and Jodi Urbas for graciously allowing our students to tape them to the wall. In addition, thank you to Cheryl Burgess and Mendy Heaps for their donation of snack shop profits, and to the community members who made donations for this purchase.
